MAU (Monthly Active Users) is a metric that’s used to measure how well the mobile apps, online games and similar perform. It’s calculated by counting the number of unique users during a 30-day period. Generally, you can identify the monthly active users by an email or username. It has many similarities with DAU (Daily Active Users) and you can get more accurate results when you use both metrics (see the DAU definition for additional information).
